The Pierce/Pinkowski Rehearsal Dinner

Friday night we celebrated Kevin & Allison's upcoming wedding with their friends and family at their rehearsal dinner.

It was at The Cashew which is where they met (all classy couples meet at bars; and I encourage all friends to follow Steve and my path of us meeting at a bar even though he was talking to some "not so classy girls") so that alone made it a special night.

I had the honor of giving an impromptu speech/toast. I think I had one too many glasses of wine beforehand, but it was memorable if nothing else! And thankfully people were complimenting me afterwards. I clearly remember now why I didn't drink until after I gave my maid-of-honor speech at Jacque & Jason's wedding...

Allison, Jen and me. Michelle was still en route from Napa around this time.

Allison's dad's family is ironically from Storm Lake. For years I have wanted to meet her grandma Jenny because she was good friends with Mary Jane who is Cynthia Robinson's mom and Jen/Wendy's grandma. She was as amazing as I have always heard and I really enjoyed talking to her. Steve spent lots of time talking to Allison's grandpa throughout the weekend and also to her cousin and her husband who graduated with his siblings so he talked about SL probably more in 24-hours than he has his first 35-years on this earth!

Right before this picture we were talking about our "porn names" (first street/first pet) that we used in Chicago during Allison's bachelorette party.

He is almost looking at the camera. If I knew photo shop, his pupils would be looking at the camera.

After the bride-to-be headed home for her last night as a "Pierce", we hung out with Kevin and all of his Tennessee friends (which is where he is from) before calling it a night.
